Well, simple flies are among most usefull, and begginers are more likely to begin with tying if they start with simple yet effective flies.
I choose evilfly jig hook #10, reason is this can be fished either as nymph or streamer.
First put bead and lead, near tail attach ribbing wire.
Only material besides hook, bead, lead and wire is marabou feather. Choose fluffier feathers, not ones with thin ends.
Attach bunch of marabou near the end of the body. Leave excess, do not trim it.
When you secure tail, spin marabou around thread and wind it up to the bead and ribb it.
Next step is optional, it just gives the fly a bit of volume and fluffiness.
Just attach small bunch of marabou near head, it should be as long as the tail of the fly, whipfinish and you are done
